Webberville Faculties' signal changer hangs up his closing letters

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — After greater than twenty years of devoted service, Webberville Neighborhood Faculties’ “official sign changer” has hung up his letters for the final time.

Josh DePue has been altering the signal for a staggering 24 years, updating the messages and preserving everybody within the loop on the newest happenings within the faculty district—regardless of the climate. Now, the varsity district is switching to a totally digital signal.

“I will greatly miss waving at traffic and running out to the sign to add a message congratulating the kids on their big win,” mentioned DePue. “That old sign is close to my heart.”

Nonetheless, the district upgrading to a brand new digital signal does not imply DePue is retiring. The district says he’ll nonetheless play a giant function in managing the brand new messaging show.
