WAVERLY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A person from Paw Paw faces a number of prison prices related to a street rage incident that concerned a series noticed.
Courtroom data present the incident occurred on Oct. 5. Van Buren County Sheriff Daniel Abbott says it began when a driver pulled right into a roadway, chopping off 68-year-old Leonard Yonkman.
“The suspect passed the victim pulling a trailer, almost running them off the road, causing a crash,” Abbott mentioned. “The suspect pulled in the place the sufferer went, acquired out, and grabbed a series noticed out of the mattress of his truck.
“The saw wouldn’t start, so he physically assaulted the female victim. He fled the scene, but deputies were able to track him down and arrest him for the incident.”
Yonkman was arraigned on Oct. 7 and charged with three crimes: assault with intent to do nice bodily hurt, assault with a harmful weapon and malicious destruction of non-public property. He posted a $40,000 bond the next day.
If convicted, he faces as much as 14 years in jail.
