“Cowboycore is all about texture, volume and a bit of edge,” provides grasp stylist and proprietor of Second Ground Salon Rogério Cavalcante. “The look combines a slightly messy style with loose waves, undone braids and natural volume. It’s effortless but with a touch of intentional styling. Accessories like hats or scarves can also enhance the Wild West feel while giving more room to experiment with styles that can hold up under them.”

Wild West hair is clearly Western-inspired, so braided seems to be, hats and scarves are all honest sport. “I’d go for braided styles or a naturally textured, slightly untamed look to keep it authentic but simple,” Kinoshita advises.
“Braids are another go-to,” Cavalcante agrees. “Either small ones tucked into loose waves or a more undone braid with face-framing pieces left out for that extra relaxed touch.”
