Sophie Kinsella, the creator of the Shopaholic collection of novels, has died aged 55, her household have stated.
The author, whose actual identify was Madeleine Sophie Wickham, revealed final yr she had been identified with an aggressive type of mind most cancers in 2022.
An announcement posted to her Instagram account learn: “We are heartbroken to announce the passing this morning of our beloved Sophie (aka Maddy, aka Mummy). She died peacefully, with her final days filled with her true loves: family and music and warmth and Christmas and joy.
“We will not think about what life will probably be like with out her radiance and love of life.
“Regardless of her sickness, which she bore with unimaginable braveness, Sophie counted herself actually blessed – to have such great household and pals, and to have had the extraordinary success of her writing profession. She took nothing as a right and was ceaselessly grateful for the love she obtained.
“She will be missed so much our hearts are breaking.”
