Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have one other new enterprise enterprise in Wales

Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have been introduced as the brand new co-owners of a beer firm of their newest enterprise transfer.

The Hollywood actors now co-own Wrexham Lager Beer Firm Ltd alongside the Roberts household.

Having been brewing since 1882, it’s the oldest lager brewery nonetheless in existence in Britain.

It additionally boasts to being the one lager obtainable on the notorious solely voyage of the Titanic, based on the brewery’s web site.

It’s the duo’s newest enterprise enterprise in North Wales after they purchased soccer membership Wrexham AFC in 2020.

They’ve since overseen the membership’s meteoric rise to the third division of English soccer after the workforce secured back-to-back promotions, documented in Disney+ documentary Welcome To Wrexham.

Wrexham, in northeast Wales, was made a metropolis by the late Queen Elizabeth II throughout her platinum jubilee celebrations in 2022.

Final month, it was confirmed that McElhenney and Reynolds had been in talks to spend money on Cardiff-based cricket workforce Welsh Fireplace.

The newest funding was made by Pink Dragon Ventures, created to “drive growth in the Wrexham community and Wrexham AFC”.

The three way partnership has been shaped by the membership’s majority proprietor The RR McReynolds Firm and the Allyn household of New York.

Wrexham Lager says the deal will “scale up” its infrastructure and worldwide manufacturing, distribution, and advertising efforts.

Making the announcement, McElhenney and Reynolds stated that they had “learned a lot” as co-chairmen of Wrexham AFC.

“The connection between club and community, the intricacies of the offsides rule and the occasional need for beer – especially after finance meetings.

“Wrexham Lager has a 140-year-old recipe and a storied historical past and we’re excited to assist write its subsequent chapter.”

The Roberts household, house owners of the enterprise since 2011, will keep an energetic position inside the firm.

James Wright, CEO of the Wrexham Lager Beer Firm Ltd stated it was a “brand with great heritage”.

“To have Rob and Ryan onboard as we embark on international expansion is huge for us,” he added.
