Michigan grants $23M to three firms, creating greater than 100 new jobs

Michigan grants M to three firms, creating greater than 100 new jobs

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Three enterprise growth initiatives are receiving the Michigan Strategic Fund grant that may assist create 129 jobs in Shiawassee, Van Buren, and Kalamazoo Counties.

“Today’s announcements further advance the state’s design and manufacturing leadership by adding 129 new jobs and driving more than $23 million of investment in critical manufacturing industries across the state,” stated Governor Whitmer. “I’m proud to see these three companies bet on Michigan’s world-class workers. Michigan is open for business and on the move, and I will work with anyone to create jobs, bring supply chains home, and help companies like these continue to succeed.” 

The three firms receiving the funds are Acculevel, Inc. in Shiawassee, Particular-Lite Inc. in Van Buren, and Kalamazoo Outside Gourmand in Kalamazoo County.

Acculevel, Inc. is a house restore firm specializing in basis restore and waterproofing basements and crawl areas. The corporate says it plans to determine its regional headquarters in Durand. The growth undertaking anticipates 52 new jobs with beginning wages between $48 and $72 per hour plus advantages.

“We’re honored to partner with the MEDC and the Shiawassee Economic Development Partnership on this exciting project in Durand,” said Andy Beery, Founder & CEO of Acculevel. “Their support has been invaluable, and we share their commitment to fostering economic development and creating opportunities in this region. This grant is not just an investment in Acculevel; it’s an investment in the future of Durand.”

“The Metropolis of Durand is happy to welcome Acculevel to our house. We see their enterprise and job creation as a profit to our residents and the encompassing areas as we proceed to seek out methods to develop and develop our metropolis with community-minded companions,” stated Durand Mayor Jeff Manufacturers. “We happily supported Acculevel through this grant process and are grateful to the MEDC for sharing in our belief in the company and the good they’ll bring with them. A well-deserved congratulations to the Acculevel team.”
