Customers Power work to briefly interrupt electrical energy in Bathtub

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Customers Power clients in Bathtub Township will expertise a brief outage late Friday night time as employees exchange poles and tools within the space, the corporate introduced Wednesday.

The corporate says 3,073 properties and companies will lose energy between 11:55 p.m. Friday to six a.m. Saturday. If the work must be rescheduled, it would begin on the similar time on Saturday night time.

The buildings affected can be within the space north of Lindburg Drive, east of US-127, south of E. Chadwick Highway and west of Peacock Highway.

“Consumers Energy is building a smarter and stronger electric grid, and this project will provide a clear improvement in service to our customers in Bath Township,” mentioned Chris Laird, Customers Power’s vp of electrical distribution. “We appreciate that even a scheduled power interruption is an inconvenience, so thank our customers in advance for their patience.”

The corporate says the work is being performed as a part of its Reliability Roadmap, with the aim of lowering the quantity and size of outages within the space.
