4 hospitalized after 'critical' crash in Liberty Township

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — 4 folks have been taken to the hospital and two stay in vital situation after what Jackson County Sheriff Gary Schuette says was a “serious” crash in Liberty Township Wednesday morning.

The sheriff’s workplace studies that at round 7:21 a.m., deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash close to the intersection of South Meridian Street and Wetherby Street in Liberty Township.

In keeping with investigators, a black 2016 Chevrolet Traverse, pushed by a 52-year-old man from Hillsdale, was touring south on Meridian Street when it crossed into the northbound lane and collided with one other automobile. That automobile was a silver 2009 Mercury Mariner, with a 47-year-old girl from Cement Metropolis, an 18-year-old girl, and three juveniles inside.

Three occupants of the Mariner and the motive force of the Traverse have been taken to Henry Ford Allegiance Hospital for therapy. Two of them stay listed as vital.

The crash stays below investigation by Jackson County deputies. At the moment, it’s unknown if alcohol or medication have been an element within the crash.
