BST Hyde Park pageant has cancelled its remaining evening after Jeff Lynne’s Electrical Mild Orchestra pulled out of the headline slot.

Lynne, 77, was as a result of play alongside his band on Sunday however has been pressured to withdraw from the occasion following a “systemic infection”.

The London present was alleged to be a “final goodbye” from ELO following their farewell US tour.

Organisers stated on Saturday that Lynne was “heartbroken” at being unable to carry out.

A press release learn: “Jeff has been battling a systemic an infection and is presently within the care of a workforce of docs who’ve suggested him that performing is solely not attainable right now nor will he have the ability to reschedule.

“The legacy of the band and his longtime fans are foremost in Jeff’s mind today – and while he is so sorry that he cannot perform, he knows that he must focus on his health and rehabilitation at this time.”

They later confirmed the entire of Sunday’s occasion could be cancelled.

“Ticket holders will be refunded and contacted directly by their ticket agent with further details,” one other assertion stated.

Stevie Surprise performed the pageant on Saturday – now its remaining occasion of 2025.
