College of Michigan Well being-Sparrow Lansing President stepping down

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The President of College of Michigan Well being-Sparrow Lansing is leaving his place, in line with an announcement launched by the hospital Friday afternoon.

“Denny Martin, D.O., has stepped down as president of University of Michigan Health-Sparrow Lansing,” the hospital wrote. “He will focus on his clinical patients over the coming weeks, with his last day at UM Health-Sparrow scheduled for Jan. 10. We extend our sincere gratitude to Dr. Martin for his exceptional leadership, dedication to patient care and commitment to our community. We wish him continued success in all his future endeavors. Effective immediately, Margaret Dimond, regional president of University of Michigan Health, will serve as interim leader of UM Health-Sparrow Lansing. Margaret and her team will prioritize delivering high-quality patient care while addressing the hospital’s financial challenges.”

The hospital named Dr. Martin President in April 2022 and once more in Sept. 2023. Margaret Dimond, Ph.D. was president from Could 2023 till Sept when she grew to become Regional President.

Dr. Martin beforehand served because the Chief Medical Officer of E.W. Sparrow Hospital ever since April 2020. Dr. Martin additionally served as Government Medical Director of Doctor Efficiency for the Well being System.
