The brand new Amsterdam station means extra space for UK-bound passengers, enabling Eurostar to reintroduce direct departures and enhance providers.

It’s now operating three each day return journeys between the cities on weekdays and Sundays and two on Saturdays – every taking three hours and 52 minutes – with plans to develop it to 5 by 2026.

Every prepare can carry as much as 400 passengers, in comparison with a earlier most of 360 and this may attain 650 by September.

Gwendoline Cazenave, Eurostar chief government, mentioned the agency was “delighted” that direct providers had resumed, calling such journeys “greater than only a prepare journey – it’s a seamless connection between two vibrant capitals, providing our clients an environment friendly, comfy, and sustainable approach to journey.

“Eurostar is proud to unveil this state-of-the-art terminal, reinforcing our dedication to offering a seamless, sustainable journey expertise.

“We all know we are going to welcome extra passengers on board as we proceed to develop our providers and set the requirements for connectivity throughout Europe.

“The tripling of capacity on the Netherlands-UK route is step one in a broader strategy to increase Eurostar’s network for customers all across Europe.”
