Gran Canaria’s airport has reopened after flash flooding meant planes had been unable to take off and land.
Torrential downpours throughout the island brought about widespread disruption – with dramatic footage exhibiting vehicles being washed off shore.
The city of Telde was notably hit by the stormy circumstances, and several other folks wanted to be rescued from their automobiles.

Spain’s meteorological company has warned dozens of amber and yellow alerts for heavy rain stay in place elsewhere within the nation.
Some elements of Valencia may see 100mm of rainfall in simply 12 hours – and a complete of greater than 400mm between Monday and Thursday this week.
Officers within the hardest-hit areas requested motorists to keep away from driving except “strictly necessary” – and to take excessive warning close to riverbeds and ravines.

Earlier this week, two French nationals trapped inside their caravan with their canine wanted to be rescued from a seaside in Almeria.
They had been exhibiting indicators of hypothermia and disorientation, and had been rushed to hospital.
