Historic society opposes Jackson college bond proposal

Historic society opposes Jackson college bond proposal

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Reynolds Corridor has been a fixture in Jackson for generations, however a brand new bond proposal from Jackson Public Colleges might imply main upgrades for college students — and presumably the tip of the historic constructing.

Imhoff says the Reynolds household has many deep ties all throughout town.

“There’s a variety of Reynolds buildings here in Jackson,” Imhoff mentioned. “The Reynolds airport, the Jackson County Airport we know is the Reynolds Field and that’s, you know, dating back to that family.”

There may be nonetheless time for a change in planning,a transfer Imhoff is urging JPS to rethink.

“We call on them to preserve the structure. The structure is in very good condition when we look at this structure as a whole on the map here at Jackson and the nation of historic buildings,” Imhoff mentioned.
