'I’m not actively looking': Lansing Faculty Superintendent Ben Shuldiner says about being on brief record to steer Las Vegas colleges

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Ben Shuldiner, the Lansing Faculty District Superintendent, despatched an electronic mail assertion to six Information about being within the high six candidates for superintendent of the Clark County Faculty District (CCSD) in Las Vegas.

I used to be honored to be requested to use for the place of Clark County Faculty District Superintendent. I’m much more honored to be among the many unbelievable set of six proposed slate members for the primary spherical of interviews. My inclusion on this illustrious group is really a testomony to the wonderful work all of us in Lansing have performed during the last 4 years. I additionally need the Lansing neighborhood to know that I’m very thrilled to dwell right here and spend day by day working for the Lansing Faculty District. I’m not actively looking for a brand new place. I’m so pleased with the work we’re doing right here and know that there’s far more to be performed. Nonetheless, the Clark County Faculty District alternative, when offered to me, was a hoop I felt I needed to throw my hat into. I do hope you all perceive and that you simply all know that my love for Lansing and our youngsters is, as all the time, unwavering.

Ben Shuldiner – Lansing Faculty District Superintendent

CCSD is the fifth-largest faculty district within the nation with properly over 300,000 college students in nearly 400 colleges. In accordance with the Lansing Faculty District, Shuldiner oversees greater than 10,000 college students in 27 colleges.

In accordance with our sister station 8 Information Now in Las Vegas, the primary spherical of interviews for the six remaining candidates will occur on Feb. 24 and Feb. 25. The second spherical of interviews will happen on March 10 and March 11, 2025.

Shuldiner has been on the helm of LSD since 2021. He was beforehand a dean’s fellow and distinguished lecturer in New York, NY at Hunter School. Whereas at Hunter School, he was a board member for the biggest faculty district within the US, New York Metropolis.
