Lansing Catholic celebrates 16 student-athletes who will play on the subsequent degree

Lansing Catholic celebrates 16 student-athletes who will play on the subsequent degree

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – This week, a whole lot of excessive faculties within the space have determined to have fun their student-athletes, who plan to play on the subsequent degree.

On Wednesday, Lansing Catholic acknowledged 16 student-athletes who’ve signed to play a sport in school.

From soccer to golf to soccer, the Cougars’ Class of 2025 will likely be represented in a wide range of totally different sports activities.

Twin sport athletes like Drew Tolfree signed to play baseball at Ohio Northern, and Alex Fernandez, who led the Lansing Catholic soccer group to Ford Subject final yr, will likely be a quarterback at Hope School this fall.

All in all it is a group that is grateful for his or her time as a Cougar.

“With the four core standards we have – Faith, Service, Excellence and Tradition – all four of those have allowed me to become the person that I am today,” Tolfree mentioned. “I’m very grateful for Lansing Catholic because they put me in the right position to succeed and go to Ohio Northern.”

Fernandez mentioned, “Lansing catholic really emphasizes sports and the football program, especially. Everything revolves around hard work, determination, and that just set me up for the next level.”

Isabel Doerr, who will likely be taking part in soccer at Northwood, mentioned, “It’s super nice to have so many people in my class sign. It’s awesome that so many people are going for sports, and at different levels. (It) just really shows how great our school is at getting everyone to where their dreams and goals are.”
