GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A person who murdered and decapitated a fellow teen in 1996 has been granted parole.
The Michigan Division of Corrections mentioned the projected parole date for Federico Cruz is March 25.
Former prosecutor: Cruz resentencing ‘grave mistake’
Cruz was 16 in April 1996 when he murdered 17-year-old David Crawford close to Sparta, minimize off the sufferer’s head and recorded himself speaking to and mutilating it. The video was so disturbing it wasn’t proven to the jury that convicted him.
