Michigan officers react to Iran nuclear websites bombing

Michigan officers react to Iran nuclear websites bombing

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Officers throughout the state of Michigan are reacting to america’ bombing of three Iranian nuclear websites Saturday.

President Donald Trump introduced the strikes on Fact Social, “We have now accomplished our very profitable assault on the three Nuclear websites in Iran, together with Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan.”

“All planes are now outside of Iran air space. A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. All planes are safely on their way home,” Trump added. “Congratulations to our great American Warriors. There is not another military in the World that could have done this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE!”

Following the strike, Sen. Elissa Slotkin took to social media, saying that she is fearful in regards to the potential repercussions. “The real question is: what happens the day after? A strike can have major repercussions for safety and stability across the region. As someone who served in Iraq and saw up close the loss of blood and treasure over 20 years, I don’t want to be embroiled in another drawn out conflict, and neither do the American people.”

Sen. Gary Peters acknowledged in a social media put up that he has “always been clear that Iran should never have a nuclear weapon,” nonetheless, he says President Trump took navy motion with out congressional approval, and that the “consequences rest squarely on his shoulders.”

“The Administration must engage Congress on a bipartisan basis on potential next steps, beginning with a briefing on this strike, its impact on destroying Iran’s nuclear program, what new threats it creates that we must counter, and the president’s plan to keep our servicemembers and homeland safe,” Sen. Peters added.

Rep. Tim Walberg confirmed help for the choice to strike Iran, saying, “Tonight, President Trump took decisive action to eliminate the nuclear program of the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism.”

“President Trump pursued and exhausted diplomatic options, and to protect the security of our nation, this moment called for strong leadership,” added Rep. Walberg.

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer says that her high precedence is the “safety and security of the people of Michigan.”

She says she referred to as a briefing with the Adjutant Basic of the Michigan Nationwide Guard, Paul D. Rogers, and Michigan State Police Colonel James F. Grady final night time for an replace on the scenario in Iran.

“We are monitoring things closely and taking steps to keep Michiganders safe,” Gov. Whitmer added.
