Michigan orders eight unlawful on-line casinos to halt operations

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The Michigan Playing Management Board (MGCB) has despatched cease-and-desist letters to eight unlicensed on-line casinos to halt playing operations within the state.

The letters had been just lately despatched to Aussie Play, CryptoGames, FortuneJack, Hugewin On line casino, My Stake On line casino, Play at Harry’s On line casino, RuneChat, and Slots Backyard.

“These unauthorized websites often appear sophisticated and legitimate, but they operate outside of Michigan law,” mentioned Henry Williams, MGCB Government Director, in a information launch despatched to six Information.

“When players gamble on unlicensed platforms, they’re putting their money and personal information at serious risk. The MGCB will not hesitate to intervene when we find operators ignoring our state’s gambling laws.”

Unlawful playing websites violate state legislation, together with the Lawful Web Gaming Act, the Michigan Gaming Management and Income Act, and provisions of the Michigan Penal Code.

Not like their regulated counterparts, these websites should not required to undergo impartial testing, accountable gaming requirements, or client safeguards.

“Protecting players and preserving a fair, lawful marketplace is our top priority,” Williams added. “If it’s not licensed in Michigan, it’s not legal in Michigan.”

An inventory of licensed playing web sites will be discovered on-line.

Name 1-888-314-2682 or e mail [email protected] to report suspected unlawful playing actions.
