MSU to vote on Spartan Stadium upgrades

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The Michigan State College Board of Trustees will vote on whether or not or to not replace amenities all through Spartan Stadium on Dec. 13, 2024.

Spartan Stadium has been the house of the MSU soccer group since 1923. MSU stories that in current research the college has discovered the stadium’s amenities to be poor in comparison with friends within the Energy 4 conferences.

Changing the videoboards, West Tower 4th, seventh, and Eighth-floor suites and membership seat renovations, structural upgrades and repairs, enhanced security and safety measures, improved concessions, and upgrades to restroom amenities have all been included within the upcoming improve plan.

These renovations are anticipated to exceed $30 million. If accredited, renovations would start in Jan. 2025 and are anticipated to be accomplished by Aug. 2025, simply in time for the 2025 school soccer season.

These officers wrote within the proposal that the upgrades to Spartan Stadium ought to improve income, by way of further enterprise, sponsorship, and donor alternatives.

The MSU Board of Trustees initially accredited planning for Spartan Stadium upgrades in December 2021.
