NATO responds after Russian navy jets ‘violate’ Estonian airspace

NATO says it has responded after Russian navy jets “violated” Estonian airspace.

In an announcement, the Estonian authorities mentioned the incident concerned three Russian MiG-31 fighter jets that flew over the Gulf of Finland for a complete of 12 minutes with out permission.

A NATO spokesperson mentioned the Russian jets “violated Estonian airspace” and “NATO responded immediately and intercepted the Russian aircraft”.

The incursion comes after the top of Britain’s overseas intelligence service mentioned there’s “absolutely no evidence” that Vladimir Putin desires to barter peace in Ukraine.

“He seeks to impose his imperial will by all means at his disposal. But he cannot succeed,” Sir Moore mentioned.

“Bluntly, Putin has bitten off more than he can chew. He thought he was going to win an easy victory. But he – and many others – underestimated the Ukrainians.”
