Potterville soccer coach ordered to return district property, keys

Potterville soccer coach ordered to return district property, keys

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – The Potterville Excessive College soccer coach has been ordered to return all tools belonging to the district and his keys “pending the outcome of an investigation.”

Jason Baker tells 6 Information the letter was delivered to him 10 days in the past. Along with directing him to return all gadgets owned by the district and his keys, he was directed to stop communication with the athletic division and college students. 

“It says the Potterville public schools is investigating behavior in the district’s Athletic Department to ensure the integrity of the investigation process,” Baker tells 6 Information in a cellphone interview, “you are hereby directed to do the following.”

Baker declined to offer a replica of the letter to six Information till he had a chance to seek the advice of his lawyer.

The listing, as he learn the letter to six Information, consists of:

Baker is to not characterize himself as affiliated with Potterville Public Faculties, the athletics division, or different elements of the district to “third parties;”

Baker doesn’t make or authorize any purchases on behalf of Potterville Public Faculties

Baker is to not have contact with present or potential student-athletes as soccer coach

Baker is prohibited from deleting or destroying “any emails, record, computer file, document, text, or other information that relates to the part of the public schools, athletics or football, including those stored on personal devices.”

Baker is prohibited from being at Potterville Faculties occasions with out prior approval of Board of Training President Stacy Ann Sipes or Interim Superintendent Sam Sinicropi.

Sinicropi declined to debate personnel points when requested in regards to the letter in a cellphone interview Wednesday. Sipes additionally declined to touch upon the letter. 

Baker was elected to the Potterville Public Faculties Board of Training on November 5. His time period begins January 1, 2025, though he says he’s unsure he’ll take the submit. 

“I didn’t really want to do it in the first place,” he says. 

He’s married to the district’s enterprise supervisor Monica Baker. Officers have refused to debate her employment standing. 

The letter comes as Potterville officers wrestle with a number of prison investigations within the district. Along with the prison probes, officers introduced the annual audit discovered the district’s fund stability was severely depleted. In an interview Wednesday, Sinicropi says the fund stability depletion is the results of accounting and funds oversight points.

As of Wednesday morning, Jason Baker continues to be listed because the varsity head coach for Potterville soccer.
