However within the wake of the fires that decimated Altadena and the Palisades, the Rams opted for the hearth station as a method of showcasing “commitment to community resilience and honoring the first responders who protect the city they call home,” the staff mentioned in a press release.

“Drafting from LAFD Air Operations is a powerful reminder of what it means to represent Los Angeles,” Rams president Kevin Demoff mentioned in a press release. “Since the wildfires devastated our region in January, we have looked to bring LA Together to help with the recovery efforts, raise the spirits of those impacted, and shine a light on our first responders. We are humbled to partner with LAFD during one of the NFL’s biggest moments to express gratitude for those who risk their lives daily to protect our city.”

In January, due to the fires, the NFL moved an NFC wild-card sport between the Rams and the Minnesota Vikings to Glendale, Ariz. Throughout the sport, Rams coaches and staff personnel donned clothes and caps that honored the LAFD.

On April 25, earlier than Day 2 of the draft begins, the Rams will honor 150 responders throughout a “chalk talk” with McVay, Snead and different Rams executives.

In accordance with the Rams, the staff has donated practically $2 million in complete to fire-relief efforts, together with a $1-million donation from The Kroenke Household Basis to LAFD Basis.
