LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — I-96 will see a number of lane closures over M-99 (Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard) and Washington Avenue right this moment. Eastbound and westbound I-96 will every have one lane closed from Washington Avenue to M-99 from 9 a.m. till 3 p.m. via Thursday, Aug. 14.
This mission is a part of a three-year, $44 million funding on I-96.
A lot of the work on this mission has already been accomplished over the previous two years. The mission is a part of Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s Rebuilding Michigan program that focuses on state freeway and bridge infrastructure.
The mission is predicted to immediately and not directly assist 532 jobs, based on the Michigan Division of Transportation (MDOT).
