LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Having a member of the family in jail might be powerful, and it will probably turn out to be much more anxious if you don’t know what’s occurring inside.

Residents For Jail Reform rallied on the State Capitol Thursday to induce legislators to launch the maintain on SB 493.

Lois Pullano, Govt Director of Residents For Jail Reform, says the invoice would let prisoners and their households have correct grievance types, but it surely was placed on maintain by Speaker of the Home Joe Tate and Gov. Gretchen Whitmer since final February, though the invoice handed by the Senate unanimously.

A spokesperson for Speaker Tate says the invoice must undergo committee earlier than passing.
