Sam Fender has gained the 2025 Mercury Prize for his album Individuals Watching.

The announcement was made through the award ceremony in Newcastle on Thursday night time, marking the occasion’s debut outdoors of London.

He devoted the prize to his late pal and mentor, Annie Orwin, who impressed the album’s title observe.
