Sinking of Russian ship was an ‘act of terrorism’, proprietor claims

The sinking of a Russian cargo ship that was despatched to Syria to gather weapons was an “act of terrorism”, the vessel’s proprietor says.

An engine room explosion sank the Ursa Main off the coast of Spain, after which two crew members had been lacking and 14 others needed to be rescued.

Ukraine’s navy intelligence has claimed the ship, beforehand known as Sparta III, was despatched to Syria to take away weapons and navy tools after the autumn of Bashar al Assad.

Oboronlogistika had beforehand stated the ship had been on its approach to the port of Vladivostok in Russia’s far jap with two big port cranes lashed to its deck.

The Kremlin had lengthy supported Assad and had numerous navy belongings within the nation, which it has been withdrawing following the collapse of the regime.
