Some Jackson voters stunned to search out polling location modified

JACKSON, Mich. (WLNS) — Dozens of voters in Jackson’s Ward 2, precincts 2 and three have expressed shock and frustration to be taught their polling places had been moved from Boos Recreation Middle.

Metropolis Spokesman Aaron Dimick says the middle has not been used as a polling location for 2 years.

“Registered voters were sent a letter about the change a while ago,” Dimick wrote in a textual content message to six Information. “It’s also updated on our website and newsletters. While some may not have received the message, we definitely got the word out about the change.”

First-time voter Brooke Trusty, 18, says she was “confused” and “aggravated“ to reach at Boos Recreation Middle, solely to be taught she can be voting at one other location.
