WILLIAMSTON, Mich.(WLNS)— A Star Trek fan membership needs to ensure Michigan households can reside lengthy and prosper this vacation season.
The Starfleet Worldwide Fan Membership USS Tecumseh Lansing Chapter hosted its annual Trek-Mas Toy and Meals Drive this Saturday afternoon on the Botany Boutique.
The occasion was additionally in affiliation with the Capitol Space Modellers Society.
Vern Gibbs, occasion organizer, says each little bit counts in direction of the donations.
“It doesn’t take a lot to bring some extra food that you have in your pantry,” said Gibbs. “Some extra cans, stuff you may have forgotten in the back of your pantry.”
Gibbs says the toys and meals can be donated to the Larger Lansing Meals Financial institution, and Toys for Tots.
Liz Calhoun, a member of the Starfleet Worldwide Fan Membership gave a number of cans of beef stew and ravioli.

Through the holidays, Gibbs wished to ensure Michigan youngsters and their households have been in a position to spend the vacations with meals and some toys of their properties.
“I have kids myself. You know, I see a lot of kids in the community, a lot of kids in their school that are in need, and so we really like to come out there,” said Gibbs. “We like to use our hobby to be able to help people.”
