Transit businesses to supply free rides to register and vote

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Because the Nov. 4 common election approaches, a number of transit businesses within the capital area are providing systemwide free rides to register and vote.

CATA, EATRAN, and Clinton Transit will start providing the rides Sept. 25, permitting riders to register to vote, return absentee ballots to drop containers, vote early, and forged their ballots on Election Day without spending a dime.

When boarding, simply inform the motive force you’ll register or vote. They won’t test your ID.

CATA Rydz clients can redeem promo code FreeRydz2025Election for one free round-trip experience between Sept. 25 and Nov. 4 to registration and voting areas however officers add that zone restrictions nonetheless apply.

CATA Spec-Tran and Rural Service, as per regular, should be scheduled by 5 p.m. the day earlier than you want a experience. Similar day providers should not out there.
