A US creator – the spouse of Weezer bassist Scott Shriner – has been shot and arrested on suspicion of tried homicide.

Jillian Lauren, 51, was left with non-life threatening accidents after the capturing in Eagle Rock, northeast Los Angeles, in California, on Wednesday.

The Los Angeles Police Division (LAPD) mentioned it had been aiding California Freeway Patrol officers of their seek for three suspects from a hit-and-run incident.

Lauren was not concerned within the hit-and-run however was allegedly holding a handgun whereas police pursued a suspect by way of her again backyard.

The pressure mentioned officers ordered her to drop the gun a number of occasions, however she refused and pointed it at them.

The LAPD mentioned she was hit by police gunfire and fled into her residence, the place they took her into custody earlier than taking her to a hospital.

It’s unclear if she fired the handgun she was holding.

In line with LA County jail information, Lauren is being held on a $1m bail (£777,455).

She is the creator of two bestselling memoirs – 2010’s Some Women: My Life In A Harem and 2015’s Every part You Ever Wished.

Lauren and Shriner married in 2005 and have two youngsters.
