Wellness Wednesday: 'Simply breathe'

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – Faculty is properly underway, we’re fewer than two weeks away from a serious election and the vacations are approaching rapidly. It may really feel overwhelming, and generally, you simply want slightly reset. A technique to do this is thru breath work.

“It’s a great thing to implement at home because your body responds to stress all day, you know, whether it’s at work, school, home,” says Michelle Gimbutis, proprietor of barre3 in East Lansing. “Now we have an emotional and bodily response to emphasize, and breath is one thing that may actually settle down your physique and simply carry it again to impartial.

Even if it’s just, you know, an Excel spreadsheet that’s giving you stress – take a minute, breathe and you’re going to be able to approach that next task with more focus and clarity.”
