Western allies are lifting vary restrictions for weapons equipped to Ukraine, Germany’s chancellor has introduced.

Lifting the vary restrictions will make “the decisive difference in Ukraine’s warfare”, in line with Mr Merz.

The earlier chancellor, Olaf Scholz, was reluctant to ship Germany’s most superior weapons, notably long-range Taurus cruise missiles, to Ukraine, however Mr Merz had indicated that he can be open to sending Taurus missiles to Ukraine earlier than being elected.
