World Pageant bridging the hole between nations 

EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)— College students and Michiganders had the possibility to expertise completely different nations from all around the world whereas studying the significance of range Friday. 

Michigan State College hosted its World Pageant Friday afternoon. 

The reveals showcased completely different cultures from Russia to Taiwan. 

The occasion was an opportunity for folks to be taught and share completely different items of their lifestyle. 

Evelyn Chen, who was representing Taiwan, says she was capable of expertise the great thing about cultural trade. 

“And while I shared some facts about Taiwan,” said Chen. “They shared some things about their country.” 

She says the sales space was to assist educate folks about Taiwan. 

“Most of those misconceptions come from the fact that Taiwan is so small, but it really is a populated country,” said Chen. “With lots of development, urban cities, great food, culture, and art.” 

Yousef Khajavigodello representing Kurdistan says the occasion was an opportunity to ask folks into his nation. 

“Kurdish people are almost close to 50 million people,” said Kurdistan. “Biggest nation without a country, without a state.”  

He says Kurdish folks stay in components of Iran, Iraq, and Turkey. 

Gokhan Satilmis, representing Turkey, says he was capable of study different Asian Nations, like China, Japan, and Indonesia. 

He says the occasion brings folks collectively. 

“Sometimes we believe that there’s only one culture which is the culture we’re born in,” said Satilmis. “So, thanks to the global festival, now we understand that there are other cultures, and also listen to their stories.”

The occasion was from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
