LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — CETUSA, a Grand Rapids-based worldwide alternate scholar program, says they’ve just below 300 college students left to position with host households within the U.S., with the varsity 12 months approaching shortly.

Summers and Gallant say it is extremely much like being a foster mum or dad. Summers stated she was previously a licensed foster mum or dad along with internet hosting.

“There are a lot of similarities,” Summers stated. “While we are host parents, and they do have very active natural parents, we really are the role of active parent while they’re here.”

Gallant says she continues to have relationships with college students she’s hosted lengthy after internet hosting them.

“I always call them my bonus children,” Gallant stated. “My WhatsApp is full of cultures and I’m getting texts all through the night because that’s their morning and they can’t wait to tell you what happened.”

She even talked about being invited by college students to go to their residence nations.
