Scottish comic Janey Godley has died a month after she moved to a hospice for end-of-life care, her agent has stated.
“It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our client Doctor Janey Godley on 2nd November,” her agent stated on Saturday.
“Janey died peacefully in the wonderful Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice in Glasgow surrounded by her loved ones. She will be hugely missed by her family, friends and her many fans.
“She shall be remembered for her legendary voice overs of Nicola Sturgeon in the course of the pandemic, her hilarious and outspoken comedy, however most of all for simply being ‘Janey’.”

In September, she cancelled her autumn tour because of her stage 4 ovarian most cancers, which had been handled over the previous few years, however had returned with added issues.
“I want to thank everybody for supporting the family, especially [her daughter] Ashley and my husband.
“The overwhelming assist has been superb, and I do not know the way lengthy I’ve received left earlier than anyone asks. I am not a TikTok.
