Deadly shootings in Jackson County probably linked, police say

Jackson, MICH. (WLNS) — In Jackson County, regulation enforcement is attempting to determine if two separate deadly shootings are related—one taking place simply outdoors downtown Jackson and the opposite not too far-off in Summit Township.

The primary taking pictures occurred Friday afternoon on Warwick Ct. in Jackson’s South Ridge Park townhomes. Officers say Emarion Flowers, 22, was shot and later died after being taken to Henry Ford Hospital.

Saturday, deputies responded to photographs fired within the space of Francis St. and Lincoln Ct. in Summit Township. Police say a bunch of males walked as much as the house and began taking pictures, killing a 44-year-old Jackson Man and injuring three different individuals.

“The other shooting that occurred on Lincoln Court that the Sheriff’s Department is investigating right now, we’re looking at all connections, if there’s any connection to our shooting related to Lincoln Ct,” mentioned Chief of Jackson Police Chris Simpson.

Police are presently not confirming if the shootings are related, saying it is too early to inform.

“With the shootings being so close in time frame, we are looking at that possibility that the shootings are connected, that has not been confirmed yet, but we are looking at that as a possibility, said Undersheriff of Jackson County Jeremy Barnett.” “We are having conversations with the Jackson City Police Department Detective Bureau to try to make those connections, if they exist.”

Jackson police and the sheriff’s division are asking anybody with details about both of those shootings to offer them a name or name Crime Stoppers of Mid-Michigan.
