‘Fordow is gone’: US warplanes strike three nuclear websites in Iran

The US has carried out a “very successful attack” on three nuclear websites on Iran, President Donald Trump has mentioned.

The strikes, which the US chief introduced on social media, reportedly embody a success on the heavily-protected Fordow enrichment plant which is buried deep beneath a mountain.

The opposite websites hit have been at Natanz and Isfahan. It brings the US into direct involvement within the conflict between Israel and Iran.

In a posting on Fact Social, Mr Trump mentioned, “All planes are safely on their way home” and he congratulated “our great American Warriors.” He added: “Fordow is gone.”

He additionally threatened additional strikes on Iran until it would not “stop immediately”, including: “Now is the time for peace.”
