EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – A thriller in at Spartan Stadium went in favor of the house workforce on Saturday evening.
Michigan State took down Boston School in double additional time, 42-40, after Aidan Chiles linked with Omari Kelly on a game-winning two-point conversion.
This win comes after the Spartans misplaced a heartbreaker at Boston School final season.
Michigan State and Boston School traded scores in an offensive battle all evening on Saturday.
Spartan quarterback Aidan Chiles threw for a career-high 4 touchdowns and Eagles quarterback Dylan Lonergan tallied 4 touchdowns of his personal.
The longest connection of the evening for Chiles was a 41-yard strike to Nick Marsh early within the third quarter, Marsh’s second landing catch of the sport.
Each groups scored on their first offensive possession of additional time and within the second additional time Boston School had the ball first and scored.
The Eagles then missed the two-point conversion and arrange Michigan State with an opportunity to win the sport.
The Spartans scored on their offensive drive in double additional time and adopted it up with the game-winner between Chiles and Kelly.
“The three years that I’ve been here those are the games we let slip away,” stated junior linebacker Jordan Corridor. “And [there’s] sigh of relief a little bit that, you know, this is one that we finally got our hands on. It wasn’t perfect but we were able to get it done. But just being a part of that and just seeing the growth from this program in the last three years has meant everything to me. it’s something I’m so proud to be a part of.”
MSU improves to 2-0 and can host Youngstown State subsequent Saturday.
