MSU museum chosen for digital accelerator program

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)– Michigan State College’s Museum was chosen to hitch the Bloomberg Philanthropies Digital Accelerator Program to enhance its digital infrastructure.

This system’s efforts will contain creating immersive experiences utilizing applied sciences like digital and augmented actuality. Each purpose to encourage studying and engagement.

“Our selection for the Bloomberg Digital Accelerator Program is an exciting opportunity to reimagine how we share and interpret our collections,” mentioned Devon Akmon, MSU Museum Director. “By integrating cutting-edge technologies, we will develop innovative ways to connect with audiences, creating dynamic experiences at the intersection of the arts, sciences, cultures, and technologies.”

New museum additions will embrace a devoted lab for digitizing objects and experimenting with new applied sciences, guided by a group of Museum employees and MSU specialists in AR, VR, and digital storytelling.
